Announcing Retirement
After almost 39 years of full-time ministry and almost 30 alone at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church, I will be retiring in April of this year. My last day at JFBC will be Sunday, April 21, one day before my 66th birthday. Mellonee and I plan on staying in the Atlanta area, but will spend more time traveling, seeing our grandchildren, and at our favorite place in St. Simons. We will continue to support the ministry and leadership of Johnson Ferry, and consider that as our church home. I am now serving as one of the music directors of Global Missions Project, and look forward to leading more international mission trips, using instrumental music to reach others for Christ around the world. The words of the chorus of the contemporary worship song, "Goodness of God," truly reflect my gratitude to God for His faithfulness to me: "All my life You have been faithful. All my life You have been so, so good. With every breath that I am able, Oh I will sing of the goodness of God."
